The Director of Finance and Business Development is responsible for the overall financial management and development of the enterprises; including the planning, directing and controlling of operational activities within the accounting, vault, purchasing, and shipping/receiving departments to ensure efficient control of financial resources and maximization of profit. The Director of Finance and Business Development will analyze financial information and enterprise performance; and prepare financial reports to determine and/or maintain records of assets, liabilities, income, profit and loss, tax liability or other financial activities within the organization. The Director of Finance and

Business Development will develop internal controls to safeguard assets and coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and investment activities for Fortune Bay. This director will prepare or direct the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, business plans, marketing plans, and reports required for financing of new business ventures. This director will take a lead role in the business development, growth, diversification, or acquisitions for the enterprise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Director Finance and Business Development must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or related major and possess at least 10 years of management experience in a similar position. In addition the Director of Finance and Business Development must possess and/or demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Finance and Accounting—The Director of Finance and Business Development must have knowledge and understanding of finance, economics, generally accepted accounting practices and principles, financial markets, banking, investing, analysis and reporting of financial data. Proven experience and abilities in financial forecasting and variance analysis and in developing an NPV and an IRR. Additional knowledge of Internal

Revenue Service regulations, laws and legal codes, internal controls, and other governmental regulations is required;

Business Development and Analysis - Must have proven experience in business development, financial analysis of business operations, and business operations;

Administration and Management Experience—Must possess the knowledge and practical experience in business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership principles and techniques, directing and coordinating operational activities;

Strong Mathematical and Analytical Skills—Must have strong knowledge and experience in statistics, financial analysis and interpretation, ability to break down information and data into separate parts to identify underlying principles, causes, reasons or facts;

Written and Oral Communication Skills—Must know how to interpret the meaning of information to others by translating or explaining what the information means or how it can be used. Must be able to write clear, concise reports and have the ability to communicate information effectively and appropriately to others in a nonthreatening and professional manner. Must understand written documents and information and be able to present reports in a manner appropriate for the needs of the audience;

Complex Problem Solving—Must be able to identify complex problems and research related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions;

Critical Thinking—Must have an ability to combine pieces of information to form conclusions, establish relationships, or identify patterns or trends that may impact business activities or financial performance;

Accuracy and Exactness—Must be highly accurate and exact in financial reports, conclusions and analysis;

Documenting and Recording Information—Must be able to enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form;

Developing Objectives and Strategies—Must be able to establish long-range goals and objectives and specify strategies, actions and timelines to achieve them;

Responsibility for Outcomes—Must be responsible for all outcomes of subordinate personnel and resulting work generated from all assigned departments.
