Integrating the Curriculum: How do you incorporate other subjects in this unit? Language Arts will be incorporated in each
assignment through Canvas. Students will access their assignments and the background information they will need on Canvas. They will
glean the information through reading then completing each assignment. They will be required to use correct grammar and spelling.
How will the lessons be connected to “real world” experiences? Students will work in groups to create their own advertising
campaign for the Ranger Outpost that incorporates the seven functions of marketing. They will be in control of the entire process and can
conduct polls among their peers to determine what is the most appealing strategy. They will also learn their own leadership style through
online resources so that they will be able to determine what management level is the best fit for them in the future.
Differentiation: How will the lesson be differentiated to meet the learning needs of ALL students? List those students with IEP’s, 504
rulings, and those in TIER 2 and 3, along with their accommodations/interventions:
Students with accommodations will receive extra time to complete their work, verbal explanation of the assignment that they will have to
complete along with typed instructions through Canvas, a peer tutor to help them with their assignments, and the opportunity to make
corrections and redo as necessary.
