1. SITUATION.
a. Enemy Forces. None.
b. Friendly Forces. All Soldier Support Institute (SSI) permanent party Soldiers, Civilians,
and Family members.
c. Weather. Average temperatures for 18 October are 77 high/52 low. All risk assessments for
outdoor activities must include procedures for emergency evacuation due to severe weather (See
Fort Jackson Crisis Action Plan). Weather call will be made NLT 161200OCT13.
2. MISSION. The Soldier Support Institute will conduct an Organizational Day for all “Friendly
Forces” within the vicinity of Hilton Field Sports complex on 181000 October 2013 to promote
camaraderie and Esprit de Corps among the Soldiers, Civilians, and Family members.
3. EXECUTION.
Commander’s Intent: Conduct a safe and fun Organizational Day at Hilton Field Sports
complex for all Soldier Support Institute Soldiers, Civilians, and Family members.
a. Concept of the Operation. The Noncommissioned Officer Academy (NCOA) will have
the overall responsibility for the event. This includes the conduct of IPRs with participating
units/directorates; planning, organizing, and executing the event; awards presentation for the
winning team of each event and awarding of the Commander’s Cup to the unit with the overall
highest point total throughout the day’s events.

b. Tasks Units/Directorates/Organizations.
1) SSI Leadership - opening remarks
Chaplain - Invocation/Benediction
2) SSI RM/Safety/SGS.
a) SSI RM - Responsible for providing and managing funds (POC Mr. Bonig).
b) Safety -Responsible for assisting with Risk Assessment, Safety guidance, and
Crisis Action Plan. Brief opening Safety and Evacuation Plan.
c) Force Protection - Responsible to implement force protection measures as needed.
d) SGS -Responsible for securing/engraving the Commander’s Cup and coordinating
VIP parking with NCOA.
e) Provide one person to take pictures during event.
3) SSI G3.
a) Responsible for publishing OPORD for SSI Organizational Day.
b) Obtain site layout of Hilton Field Sports complex designated location. Distribute
area maps to unit/directorate POCs NLT 14 OCT 13.
4) TDD/CDID.
a) Identify number of children, by age, and establish/coordinate events, games, and
prizes for them.
b) Provide three cadre members to serve as an official for sporting events.
5) G4. Coordinate Bus/Van transportation (if needed).
6) AGS.
a) Provide two cadre members to serve as officials for sporting events.
b) Coordinate with Moncrief Hospital/EMS for ambulance support (if needed).

7) FMS.
a) Provide a Master of Ceremonies (MC) for game events and closing ceremony.
b) Provide one cadre member to task/manage all CLS personnel during the event.
c) Provide one cadre member to serve as an official for sporting events.
8) RRS.
a) Organize and execute all Organizational Day sport activities (Military Stakes,
volleyball, kickball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, and tug of war) equipment, and rosters. Construct
and post a status/progress board for activities.
b) Conduct initial concept brief to SSI CG and CSM NLT 121300Sep13.
c) Coordinate Risk Management worksheet with SSI Safety manager and obtain
proper authority and approval prior to execution.
d) Provide two cadre members to serve as officials for sporting events
e) Provide two CLS personnel to FMS for execution during the event.
9) NCOA.
a) Plans, coordinates, supervise’s, and executes the SSI Organizational Day.
b) Responsible for coordinating with the 187th Ord Bn DFAC for the procurement,
storage, preparation, set up, and serving of food, tables, chairs, flatware (all inclusive) for the
meal event. Provide one NCO to task/manage all food servers and to oversee the operations of
the dining hall during the event. Coordinate will all assigned units to provide a minimum of one
food server/cook to assist during lunch time.
c) Responsible for the planning, coordinating, and execution of the Commander’s
Cup game competition to include the event score board and time management to ensure all units
have ample time allocated to participate in each event.
d) Establish and coordinate a raffle with prizes.
e) Responsible for coolers of ice, silver bullets with water/cups, ice sheets, and CLS
w/COMMs for designated game activities.
10) 369th AG BN.
a) Provide two cadre members to serve as officials for sporting events.

b) Provide assistance to NCOA for coordination and preparation of Food for event.
c) Provide two CLS personnel to FMS for execution during the event.
11) TSB.
a) Provide parking/movement plan and personnel, security sweeps, and force
protection inspections prior to event. VIP parking lot will be designated on hard top by Sports
Complex. Coordinate with SSI SGS for designated VIP names and numbers.
b) Responsible for continuous music and sound system (location TBD).
c) Provide two cadre members to serve as officials for sporting events.
d) Provide two CLS personnel to FMS for execution during the event.
c. Coordinating Instructions.
1) Uniform for this event is appropriate civilian attire. Organizations/Teams may wear
specific Team/Color shirt if desired. CLS’s will be easily identified.
2) Each unit/directorate/organization will provide a team for each game/activity to
NCOA for coordination prior to the execution. Teams may consist of Soldiers, Civilians, and/or
Family members. (Teams-369th, NCOA, RRS, FMS, AGS, TSB-consisting of Command Group,
CDID, TDD, and TSB Proper)
3) Risk Assessments will be submitted NLT 101200OCT13 to NCOA POC for review.
It will then be submitted thru SSI G3 for appropriate level approval. Final Risk Assessments will
be submitted NLT 141300Oct13.
4) Menu for the event will be Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Barbecue Chicken, Potatoe Salad,
fruits, drinks and deserts.
5) Instructors will dismiss classes no earlier than 0945 hrs.
6) SSI CG, DCO or CSM will make opening remarks beginning at 1000hrs.
7) Food serving begins at 1130-1330 hrs.
8) Sporting events (Volleyball) will begin NLT 1000 hrs and trophy/awards/recognitions
ceremony will begin NLT 1500 hrs. Games will pause for opening remarks.
9) The 1st IPR will be conducted on 171330Sep13 in the SSI Conference room. Each
unit/directorate/organization will provide the name of a POC to attend IPRs to the NCOA POC
NLT 161100Sep13.

10) All will provide final headcount to NCOA POC NLT 141300Oct13.
11) All unit/directorate/organizations must ensure key personnel (event/activity
representatives) possess handheld radio for event. Each unit/directorate/organization is
responsible for their personnel before, during, and after SSI Org Day.
12) No alcoholic beverages of any type will be allowed during SSI Org Day.
13) All items/equipment must be set up NLT 180900Oct13.
14) Staff Duty will begin at 1000hrs on the day of event (18Oct13).
15) IPR’s will be conducted Bi-weekly at the SSI Conference Room.
16) No Pets will be allowed at Organizational Day.
17) Dependent spouses and children are authorized to attend Organizational Day.
4. SERVICE SUPPORT. N/A
5. COMMAND AND SIGNAL.
a. Command. SSI CDR. Overall responsibility for planning/executing event belongs to
NCOA. NCOA POC: CSM Glover at 751-3010 email: carrier.r.glover2.mil@mail.mil or SFC
Rueda at 751-3050, email: andrea.rueda.mil@mail.mil.
b. Signal. Command cell phones will be available as per published roster. Each
unit/directorate/organization will ensure their SSI ORG Day participants have CoC/emergency
numbers prior to event. Each event/activity representative will possess a Motorola Radio.
Frequency is Channel (8).
