Dropping a Class
• 6 Drop Limit
• Drop deadlines
• September 11 – Last day to drop and receive a full
refund, drop will not count toward 6-drop limit
• October 4 – Last day to drop without academic
penalty
• October 31 – Last day to drop a class
• Dropping below 12 hours
• Will no longer be full-time, may affect Financial Aid

• W = Passing grade at the time of drop
• Does not count toward GPA
• Is not considered “first attempt” for nursing
• WF = Failing grade at the time of drop

Repeating a Class
• Use most recent grade for nursing GPA
• Does not give you a second chance at “first
attempt” preference
• Three-peat rule
• Taking a class for the third or more time, you will
be charged higher tuition
Withdrawing from TWU
• If you are withdrawing from ALL courses for the
semester
• Medical withdrawal (temporary physical or
psychological condition which prevents you from
completing the semester)
