In partnership with MI Fellowship Victoria, this course is
a two session education program. The program is designed
to assist carers develop skills on how to help those they
care for who have a mental illness as well as themselves.

“Staying Connected When Emotions Run High”
frameworks. It can help you as a professional to develop
strategies to become a resource to someone who has
changeable and overwhelming emotions; who displays
impulsive and destructive behaviour or is diagnosed with
marked emotion dysregulation (including personality

The Recovery Conference is an annual statewide event run
by BEING. It is an opportunity for people with lived
experience of mental illness to learn from each other by
sharing stories and skills. This year’s recovery conference
is focusing on Whole of Health. Mental health is
connected with physical, emotional, social, environmental

NALAG – Loss &
Grief Volenteer Training –
Mid North Coast Branch
4th May 2015
This is a joint initiative of NALAG Mid North Coast &
HNE Mental Health. The NALAG Loss & Grief Volunteer
Training course will assist participants to provide support
to grieving adults. During the course you will look at some
of your own losses and hear other participant’s stories of
loss. The course aims to provide participants with an

system for all those affected by severe and persistent
mental illness by encouraging collaboration and the
development of innovative and collective responses to the
