FEM ANALYSIS AND MODELING OF TRANSPORT JOINT
Include finding out the reaction forces at bolt locations and applying these forces in
respective locations in the conceptual FEM model. Based on the results, optimize the model
by identifying low stress regions.
Software used: Hyper Mesh, Patran, Nastran, Solid works, AutoCAD
FEM Analysis composite wing structure
Finite element modeling of wing structure using 2D elements .Linear static analysis of
carbon and glass fiber composite wing was performed. Stress and deflection values were
obtained at different locations.
Software used: HyperMesh, Patran, Nastran, MS. Excel
Weight Estimation of Composite Components
GSM method was used for weight calculation of composite components to estimate the
aircraft weight.

FEM ANALYSIS OF ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET
Engine mounting Bracket connects the engine frame to wing spars. Inertia loads were
considered.Linear static analysis was performed and Von-mises stress was obtained.

Wing spar design was carried out based on structural calculations.

GROUND VIBRATION TESTING OF ARIAL TARGET
Ground Testing of Arial target aircraft is done using Accelerometers; Digital Signal
Processing (DSP) technology is used for data acquisition. Aircraft frequency and modes of
vibrations are studied from the data and compared with Finite element analysis results and
matched
