An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Strategic ICT Team. Our team aims to deliver the strategic
direction across Somerset County Council for technology and innovation.
We are looking for a Service Manager with a strong commitment who will support the ICT Strategic
Manager and work as part of a team with other Service Managers to develop and deliver existing and
emerging ICT strategies.
You will be an expert in ICT related enterprise architecture especially around Microsoft products. You
will need excellent organisational, communication and forward thinking skills as well as proven
technical knowledge into this specific area of ICT.
As part of the ICT Strategic Team you will:
 Work with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to understand business need and
opportunities and ensure appropriate considerations are applied to proposed strategies and
solutions.
 Contribute to the ICT Strategy and other corporate strategies requiring input.
 Project manage/provide project support to technology enabled transformation.
 Produce technical specifications to assist with procurement of high quality and value for money
services and solutions.
 Develop and deliver savings, options appraisal and innovation proposals
 Develop processes to ensure that end user benefits are maximised through the technology
available
You will need to have an excellent working knowledge of SharePoint, Azure Platform, Windows 10,

Frome College are seeking to appoint an experienced HR Administrator who is highly organised, has
strong attention to detail, a calm, professional manner with excellent interpersonal skills.
You will undertake all the administration relating to the HR function of the College, including the
recruitment of staff – designing and placing vacancy advertisements, drafting job descriptions,
communicating with applicants, handling all interview arrangements and processing all requisite
paperwork relating to new appointments. You will also be responsible for maintaining the school’s
personnel records both electronically and paper files, liaising with the County Payroll Service and
dealing with queries from staff at the College which relates to either their contract of employment or
pay.
As part of this role you will also be required to provide PA support to the Business Manager which may
include attending meetings, carrying out research in preparation for meetings and presenting findings.
You will be situated as part of the fantastic business team that we have at the college. A background in

Adolescent Support delivers individual support across South Somerset for young people in Secondary
School who are at risk of permanent exclusion from school.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional to join the team to work creatively with
young people across South Somerset. The post will involve casework with young people to plan and
deliver effective individual intervention programmes. The post will involve working closely with families
and with other professionals ensuring a multi-agency approach to improving outcomes for young
people.
The requirement is to work from Monday to Friday. However there is an expectation that you may need
to work an evening if there is a demand or need for this. The work will include some travel across
Somerset and due to the nature of the work there is a large proportion of lone working.

Reporting to the School Business Manager, the successful candidate will develop and deliver a
comprehensive financial, budgetary and statistical service to meet the Academies financial

From a practical standpoint, the successful candidate will efficiently ensure that policy and procedures
are being adhered to, will be responsible for assisting with the annual budget, monitoring the actual

range of financial administrative tasks; such as processing the Academy’s payroll, processing supplier
invoices, reconciling payments and receipts, banking cheques and cash, processing debtors and more.
