Landform Project due April 16, 2015
Project Assigned on 2/23/16
Landform Projects: Given By Mrs. Berens
1. Pick a landform, national park or a biome. It can be a mountain, volcano,
river, ocean, valley, plain or etc. It can even be a place that you have been to on
vacation. (Biomes to choose from: Rain forest, Temperate Deciduous Forest, Savanna,
Grassland, Tundra and Desert. Provide me 8 detailed facts about one of these
environments.)
2. Have 7 detailed facts in your project. Each fact should be about 1
paragraph (5-8 sentences). The paragraphs should be in your own words, and not
just copied from a source. Please define words that may be unknown to the class
because you will need to present your project.
(Example of a detailed fact: Kilauea is a volcano in Hawaii. It is located on the Big
Island near the southeastern side. It is the youngest volcano on the island. Some rocks
from Kilauea have been estimated to be about 23,000 years old. Even though it is a
young volcano it has changed the landscape of Hawaii dramatically. It has been
erupting since 1983, building up the land of Hawaii. It shows no sign up stopping and
will continue to shape the land.)
3. Include at least three pictures or drawings of that landform, biome or
national park.
