APPLIED MODERN SAFETY MANAGEMENT COURSE

This Applied Modern Safety Management (AMSM) provides knowledge of legal aspects and self-management, as well as
practical techniques for planning, implementing and monitoring effective safety management systems.
The main purpose of this course is to help the participants to develop emotional need for safety leadership in a way that
they can transform the knowledge of safety into their heart and eventually onto their daily practices.
Participants will understand and be able to demonstrate:






How to identify and manage mental block that hamper someone from doing what should be done regarding
safety.
How to improve their involment in promoting safety for themselves and that for others.
How to identify and assess risks on a day-to-day basis.
How to identify system elements and activities that are effective for managing risk and controlling loss, and
which provide a basis for continuous improvement.
How to apply professional management principles and techniques to design, develop and implement
comprehensive safety systems.
How to monitor and manage change within the organization’s safety culture.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Mr. Agustinus Parinding has 30 years experience in Oil & Gas Industry. He starts his career after he graduates from
Petroleum Engineering ITB in 1983 as an Operation Engineers (Drilling, Production, Project & Reservoir) of Unocal.. He
was Assigned to Unocal’s BU in California as Sr. Petroleum Engineer. Due to his expertise in handling Offshore & Onshore
Project, he was assigned to work in safety area first time in 1997 as a Manager of Health Environment and Loss Control
and Security. Recently he decide to contribute his experience and expertise as a Mediator, Motivator, and Safety
Management and Leadership Trainer.
