Year 5 Spellings
Spring 2
Highlight any you are still finding tricky - keep this copy at home for regular practise.
Practise your spellings regularly as this can help you remember the words and the rule.
Write them in a sentence so that you can show that you understand how to spell the words, what they mean and the rule that they show.
Can you find any words that follow the same rule? Write them down and bring them in to share.
Get your parents to test you and remember to play some of the games you have used in class and online .Teach your family how to play.
Everyone must learn the blue words, most should learn the orange words and many of you could also learn the purple words.
The words in black may not fit the rule but are part of the list of words children should know by the end of Year 5 (please see the back)
so you should know those as well.
Remember it is the rule that we want you to understand.
