1. Meeting begins 6:00 pm in Alvarado-B.

a. At the end of the day, we aspire to create an environment of support and
friendship on a road for a successful career as veterinarians.

a. We will be tabling both days!

8. Pre-Health Profession Games
a. Jeopardy or Family Feud Style
i. Feb. 5th at 6pm – 8pm
ii. Inside the Titan Theater
9. Banquet
a. Held Friday, May 15th from 7pm – 9:30pm
b. We will be recognizing active and graduating members.
c. Next year’s E-Board members will be announced!
10. Active Member
a. Instead of continuing the “5 hours of club involvement” requirement, we have
switched to a Paw Points System.
11. Paw Points System
a. Paw point values are equivalent to the number of hours a member participates.
b. Taking part in anything the Pre-Veterinary club hosts can gain you Paw Points.
i. Attending 1 meeting gains you 2 point
ii. Attending 1 event gains you 1 points
1. Volunteering at an event gains you 2 points per hour.
iii. Attending 1 paid event (ex. Suture Clinic) gains you 2 points
iv. Participating in 1 fundraising event gains you 2 points
1. For chain fundraisers (ex. Chipotle, Panda Express), bring in your
receipt as proof.
2. For bake sale fundraisers, take a picture with an E-Board member
and post it to our Facebook page. Alternatively, just have an EBoard member write your name down.
v. Participating in the Small Talks Facebook game gains you 1 point
1. Put your answer and state why you think it is the right answer.
Does not matter if you’re right or wrong, just as long as you
participate. The time frame to participate is just Friday- Sunday.
Everything after Sunday is not counted towards points.
vi. Participating in the Pre-Health Professions Games gains you 2 points
c. At the very end of the semester we will be totaling up your Paw Points and
rewarding those who are most active.
d. If you want to know your activity status you must come ask me or email me. We
are in the process of putting this on our website.
e. Minimum 18 points to be considered an active member
12. Veterinary Medicine 101: Small Talks
a. Introduction of common cases
b. All on Facebook
i. Will be shared every other Thursday
ii. Great way to clinically start thinking and discussing!
13. Tuffy Titan Pre-Veterinary Peer Mentoring Program
a. Head Coordinator: Arturo Munoz

c. We are still looking for Mentors and always accepting Mentees!
