TBS FACTORING SERVICE DONATES $10K TO SALVATION ARMY
Family Business Adopts Charity Serving Families in Central Oklahoma Since 1900
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.—(Dec. 16, 2014) TBS Factoring Service, recently named one of the best
places to work in Oklahoma, reached out to those in need, donating $10,000 to the Central Oklahoma
Command of The Salvation Army.
“At TBS, dignity is one of our core values,” said Wood Kaufman, CEO. “And in our community, The
Salvation Army has been helping restore the dignity of our less fortunate neighbors for more than a
hundred years.”
In the past year, the Central Oklahoma Command has served over 300,000 meals, and extended aid to
more than 139,000 people. The Salvation Army’s Men’s and Family shelters provided more than 29,000
nights of shelter. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
The donation will help with the ongoing work of organization, which recently completed a new 26-acre
campus at North Pennsylvania Avenue and Northwest Tenth Street in Oklahoma City. From this one-stop
location, the Salvation Army offers a comprehensive network of family and homeless services include
shelter, emergency provision of food, clothing, utility assistance, prescription medications, rent
assistance, emergency weather relief, disaster relief, rehabilitation referrals, personal finance classes,
parenting and life skills classes and other forms of help.

The Salvation Army," said Major Carlyle Gargis, Area Commander of The Salvation Army Central
Oklahoma.
