• How might
we study
‘corporate
crime’?
Class discussion / investigation into what corporate
crime is and what theorists and researchers have
found:
eg Slapper and Tombs 6 types of corporate crime
(including manufacturing offences; financial offences;
green crimes)..
Individual research into recent
examples of corporate crime –
such as:
VW emissions scandal
Tesco being fined over accounts
Amazon and Starbucks
questioned over ‘unpaid’ tax
Students then apply research
and link theories to real
examples
Finally produce assessed work –
exam-skill based usually, but
occasionally in another format.
