-American society was not perfect. Women’s
Rights, Slavery, Public Education, Religion, and
Prisons were all in need of change. The Second
Great Awakening inspired people to live better
lives, and be more God Like. This sparked a time
where Americans looked at their troubled society
and tried to improve it.
