2. History of Nagoya





It all started 4oo years ago (1610), Ieyasu Tokugawa,
who established the seat of the shogunate in Edo,
relocated a capital from Kiyosu and built a Nagoya castle.
After that, blossomed ”Monozukuri” culture, developed
commerce and industry, harmonized between culture
and industry.
But when the Pacific War broke out, quarter of Nagoya
City was burnt down.
At once, rebuilt after war, large undertaking carried out
( ex. 100m Road, Heiwa Park )
