Objectives
• Discover what terms in Article IV of the
Constitution attempt to provide for
cooperation among the various state
governments.
• Explain what some of the purposes of
interstate compacts are.
Opening Activity (5 Minutes)
Explore the Jeffrey Dahmer case:
1. What was he charged with?
2. In what state was he charged?
3. In what state was he found?
4. What provision of the Constitution required
the state in which Dahmer was found to
return him to the state he was charged?
