The Context
– There is huge need for platforms for people to network, also stay
connected with their love ones from any where around the world and
the Nigerian scenario is no exception.
– Social networks with full features available to connect with loved ones
and network are usually expensive for users to use most especially
the lower class .
– There are few social networks available to cater for the general users
across the world and adequately satisfy their needs.
– There are few or no indigenous chat app in Nigeria made by a Nigerian
for Nigerians .
The Context
– The idea for LagChat came out of the realisation from its Founder’s
experience in the media industry and a vivid user of the internet for
social networking and the huge need for a FREE platform with all
needed features available.
– From his experience he identified the need of most Nigerians to keep
tab and stay connected with their friends, loved ones and family
where ever they are across the world and communicate easily,
conveniently and costlessly and also be able to share files as well.
– And that most advert agencies wants to use the social media as a
tool for marketing their brands to specific demographics and be able
to view reports of their ad performance on a regular bases to help
monitor their efforts which be covered on LagChat.

– While the users on the other hand are also given the privilege to
network with people with similar interests and share same ideology
and lifestyle with them hereby making new friends with our various
available interest chat rooms and chat groups.

Widespread Disconnect Between Nigerians and Africans at home and their loved
ones abroad

premium members with the later paying fixed subscription fee to gain
access to full site features without advertorials infringing on their site
activities such as voice calls, text messaging and video instant

There are quite a number of social networks available on the internet

several dating sites such as naijapals, sexynaija among others. All of
these participants are all struggling for the same market (internet users,
companies and government agencies) and as a result, pricing and
features has become a competitive differentiator for the services that
they render.
Marketing Plan
LagChat will embark on a three-pronged marketing drive;
1. The Managing Director will go on an intensive round of visits to major
media outlets in the country to help promote and publicize LagChat and
also create their Chat Groups on the website to engage their audience
on our interactive platform. This will be an easy task with the Managing
Director previous work experience and network in the media industry.
2. LagChat will engage in a very robust social media campaign to promote
its image and create massive awareness.
3. LagChat will create several reward competitions to attract and engage
its users as well as partner with several entertainment events across
the country to help hype and stream their events live to the world via
our free video conference chat available in their chat groups.
