Announcements for the Week of November 3, 2013
This Weekend
We’re leafing a tree! Don’t forget to bring your GREEN leaf with you this weekend from your Stewardship packet. The question for this week is “What
do you love about our church?” And don’t worry, if you forget your leaf or you don’t have enough for everyone in your household, we have extras!
Men’s Bible Study All men are welcome and invited to join us Saturday, November 2 at 7:30AM at the church for breakfast, Bible study and fellowship.
No need to prepare in advance. Questions? Contact John Rushe (erierushe@roadrunner.net). Hope to see you there!
It's time to FALL BACK! Sunday, November 3 marks the end of Daylight Savings Time. Don't forget to set your clocks back 1 hour on Saturday night.
Bring Photos of YOUR Saints for our celebration of All Saints' Sunday on November 3; please bring a photo of someone (living or dead) who has been
an example of faithful living for you. We will display the photos during the service, and you can take them home with you.
Next Week
Baptism, Confirmation, Reception November study groups are forming now to prepare for Baptism (adult and child), Confirmation, and Reception
into the Episcopal Church (for those already confirmed in other denominations) at the Bishop's Visit on Sunday, December 8. If you want to prepare for
one of these Rites, please contact Sabeth+ by November 5 (revsabeth@ststephens-fairview.org).
Family Movie Night Do the names Mike and Sully sound familiar? Well, if they do… get excited for a fun, family night out to watch the Disney Pixar
movie, “Monsters University!” On Friday, November, 8 at 7PM, the Nursery School will be having a FREE movie night in the Parish Hall. Snacks will be
available for a donation.
Many Hands Make Light Work Join us in sprucing up the playground on Saturday, November 9 from 9AM to 12PM (rain date is Saturday, November
16). If you can bring a shovel, rake or wheelbarrow to help edge around the equipment, rake out the sand or replenish the sand, it would be very
helpful. This is a family-friendly event and everyone is welcome!
CPR/First Aid Training CPR/First Aid training (new and refresher certifications) will be offered on Saturday, November 9 from 8AM to 12PM, here at St.
Stephen’s. The cost is $20 per person. Offered in partnership with St. Stephen’s Nursery School, classes are open to anyone in the community or parish.
Sign-up by contacting the church office (church@ststephens-fairview.org or 814.474.5490).

The September month-end financials show our income is well ahead of budget, largely attributable a $25,000 transfer from our Endowment principal.
Our ability to continue with our current level of ministry depends on consistent giving from our congregation. Thank you for supporting our ministries!
