Southern Protection Agency will provide you with certified, licensed, insured, and bonded
Security Guards. Each Security Professional has been screened to the standards of the local
and state law enforcement agencies. Officer training continues even after placement in the
field and we offer supervisor courses to those who qualify. Here is what you can expect
from us and our guards.
I.
Our pre-employment background investigation matches that of most police
department jurisdictions. In addition, Southern Protection has employed a staff that
calls for the initial screening of our personnel to undergo a pre-employment, verbal
and written psychological exam and a psychological interview. Furthermore, our
personnel all submit to a battery of aptitude tests, a 5-panel drug screening, and
extensive in-service training regarding criminal law and police defensive tactics.
Prior to commencement of a contract, we will provide you with the full applicant
investigation of each proposed security guard.
II.
We offer three types of uniformed guards: Construction patrol, Residential and
Hospitality, Concierge and Reception. Each officer is assigned dependant upon their
training, employment history, and physical capabilities. Supervisors are on duty 24
hours a day, 365 days per year for your convenience and will regularly make spot
checks to prevent the issue of complacency. It is our belief that in order to assure
the best quality of service that we stand by, we must keep close relationships with
our personnel both on and off duty.
III.
All of our security guards will be equipped with two-way radios or equivalent to
ensure constant communication with our management team.
IV.
Each and every security guard will be in-serviced regularly regarding your specific
site to further enhance the protection we provide.
V.
The quality we bring to your environment begins long before you see our
security guards. The Board of Directors has resolved to make the
recruitment and training of our personnel the key to our success; in that, we
conduct hiring initiatives on a regular basis with over 500 applicants per
year, with an average of only 25 new appointees. Once an application is
accepted, the individual must first complete initial basic training before
being placed on a post. Driving instructors further conduct training in
emergency E.V.O.C. before the guard is allowed to operate company vehicles
on your site.
VI. Basic training exceeds that of any of our competitor’s programs. The
knowledge of our management team is passed on to our new employees. In
addition to the state mandated certification courses,
personnel in
accordance to their assignment and rank must attend:

Advanced Individual Merit Courses
*Officers working construction or hazardous sites must also complete OSHA
training as outlined by federal regulations.
VII. Our uniformed security guards are trained to act as a criminal deterrent by
adopting the principals of the C.P.O.P (community police officer program)
methodology. Simply put, our guards are encouraged to be an approachable
source of information to patrons, residents and employees. Letting the
public know that we are there for them generates a feeling of community
and safety.
VIII. Our security guards are trained to make visible patrols throughout our
properties in undetermined patterns. We encourage our personnel to interact
with your patrons, residents, and employees in addition to standing a fixed post.
Being diverse in our assignments would be essential in your patrol.
has developed a theory of “Enforcement through
Reinforcement.” The management, having thirty combined years of security
and law enforcement experience, has realized that prevention of crime can be
accomplished by utilizing tactical approaches, rather than accusations and the
traditional methods of our predecessors.
The art of verbal judo is
commonplace in our organization and has often been effective in deescalating
volatile situations.

Our uniformed security guards are outfitted with police-type uniforms. Our
corporate general orders, require that our personnel keep their uniforms
pressed and clean at all times. Their shoes are polished; military-style and men
are clean-shaven with neat haircuts. Our female officers are held to the same
standard. We pride ourselves on the appearance of our personnel, as they are
representing our agency on your property.
Security Patrol Officers
Southern Protection is dedicated to providing you with professional officers to not
only deter crime while on patrol, but to assist patrons and residents as well.
Vacationing residents will be provided a mechanism in which security checks of
their respective residences can be viewed upon their return. Certain areas of your
property will be identified as priority and will be patrolled a minimum of (2) times
per shift.
Daily logs will be filed and available upon request. All traffic
observations will be documented and provided to our client. In the event of a lane
or road closure, officers will man the closure until proper signage and detour route
can be established and the proper emergency departments can arrive on the scene.
We offer foot patrol officers, as well as bike, cart, and vehicle patrols. All officers
undergo rigorous driving training in all kinds of adverse conditions as well as patrol
observation training.
Customer Service
Our dispatch and employee care center is available 24/7 and can access your account
at anytime. Billing questions, insurance requirements, as well as direct connection

Fire / K-9 Patrol / Search and Rescue

From the everyday rounds, to the masters, we are able to provide you a complete line
of security defense to fit the needs of the day. From security on a golf cart to a
complete CCTV surveillance and monitoring systems. These systems come with
remote “IP” addresses which can be viewed from the front security office, or in the
operation manager’s home. As the crowds grow, we will implement the security to
adapt. Law enforcement will be brought in to assist with the larger crowds as well
as the deployment of traffic officers to assist with the flow over and to maintain safe
passage for other patrons as well as tournament guest.
Law Enforcement Support
Southern Protection will provide you with
certified law enforcement personnel to assist
with major holidays, special events, and specific
issues that call for a more aggressive approach.

or property as they are employed on a regular

our training programs with our security guards

track our guards while they patrol your property. The new thing about
XORA….you can track them too !!!
From employees arriving for duty, patrolling, assigned a post, and ending their
tour of duty, you will have the capabilities of knowing exactly what you are being
billed for. The XORA system helps our clients by:

during specified work hours. This feature requires a Nextel public
IP on the phone.

Sends notifications if the user is not present in the notified location
for the event set up in the alert.
Field
Sends notifications to the administrator when the user sends the
Field Alert.
Overtime
Sends notifications when the users are about to exceed the shift
time and alert them when they exceed the shift time.
Dispatch
Sends notification to the users about job status.
Job Duration
Sends notification to the supervisors about the time taken to
complete a job.
In conjunction with the other capabilities of the XORA program, a
“geofence” can be created to insure that the patrol officers do not leave their
assigned area without an alert being sent to the site manager. If desired, all
alerts including excessive speed, location, shifts, and positions can be viewed
and/or forwarded to a member of the client’s staff. This is the level of
commitment we are prepared to give you to show even more that we are

depending on our customer’s preference.
