Business Plan by Team Creation on Tejaswini’s Stitching House
The Business Idea
Name of the Business and Tag line and Logo
Competition and USP
Marketing Plan
Market Research
The Business Idea comes from the fact that I like
to wear good clothes and test out new fashions.
The liking for stitching and creating new designs
made me think – that this can be converted into a
livelihood for my self – long term. Have passed
Tailoring course with distinction from YMCA
Vocational Training Center and have been
stitching all my clothes and for my family
regularly.
Tejaswini’s Stitching House.
Not thought of any logo but with expansion will
work on that at a later date along with a tag line
which will be in line with my USP…
There is competition for this category with various
tailors around and also few of the other women
too doing similar work.
Having done my Market Research – I find a
particular community in our society is still very
conservative and are not open to visiting Tailors
and they prefer someone known to them. The
tailors around are not that specialized in the kind
of dress these particular community sports.
While doing my market survey I have been able to
get orders – which were very surprising. My USP
is I visit houses and take measurements at their
door steps thus giving them complete privacy that
they are looking for and that also gives me an
opportunity to assess my clients other outfits and
match the fittings accordingly – understand the
taste and the tradition.
Its mostly word of mouth but will be printing
leaflets and will distribute in the locality to spread
the word about my business, talk about my
business in my college, spread word about my
business at YMCA Institute, talk about my
business in every forum that I attend such as
community assemblies, Community Medical
Center and colleges around.
Muslim is one community that is bit still orthodox
and has huge restrictions on Girl child in
particular. Even today in many a families, women
are not allowed to go out of the house but within
community they roam around and indulge in
various cultural activities. That’s the time when
they sport good clothing and do a show off
irrespective of their financial back ground. About
