1. Wn - article response - summarize the provided article in 4-6 sentences. Then provide
your reaction or thoughts on the article - what did you learn? what did you find
meaningful? what are you taking away from this reading? Are there other reasons to
read mythology not mentioned? (4-6 sentences)
*list 3 cool words that were new to you or interesting in the article

3)Groups paper bag activity- assign objects to be brought in tomorrow! don’t forget
4) When finished paper bag, you may finish reading Nature myths -all must be read! Or read
independently.
HW - read the rest of the Nature Myths, bring in assigned object for bag, vocab exercises

2. Gallery walk to admire other interpretations
3. WNB: 2 parts : part I - Read the poem. What is Demeter’s
message to Hades? Identify the reason you have derived this
meaning? Do you agree with Demeter or not? What is Demeter’s
tone (attitude toward her subject) and why do you think so? *if
totally confused, think about Demeter myth - what would Demeter
want to say to Hades? (½ -¾ page)
Part II Which character seems most interesting to you from what
you have read so far? Why is this person interesting? Does this character
have traits you like/dislike in an everyday person? Elaborate 1/2 to 3/4
page. *We will check homework while you do this
