Major Focus:
• Science 10 is an integrated academic course
that helps students better understand and
apply the concepts and skills common to
Biology, Chemistry and Physics. It is the first
course leading to the grade eleven courses:
Biology, Chemistry and Physics 20. Science 10
consists of four units of study, as well as a
brief review of process skills, lab safety and
WHMIS.

Classroom Rules and Expectations
Classroom Rules of 1872:
- Respect your schoolmaster. Obey him and accept punishments.
- Do not call your classmates names or fight with them. Love and help
each other.
- Never make noises or disturb your neighbors as they work.
- Be silent during classes. Do not talk unless it is absolutely necessary.
- Do not leave your seat without permission.
- No more than one student at a time may go to the washroom.
- At the end of class, wash your hands and face. Wash your feet if they
are bare.
- Bring firewood into the classroom for the stove whenever the
teacher tells you to.
- Go quietly in and out of the classroom.
- If the master calls your name after class, straighten the benches and
tables. Sweep the room, dust, and leave everything tidy.

1. Biology – The study of living things
2. Chemistry - The science that deals with the
composition, properties, reactions, and the
structure of matter.
3. Physics - The study of matter and energy and
the interactions between them.
