On and Off-Premise Sales Representative

Orpheus Brewing (launched May 2014) produces beers unique to the Southeast, featuring saisons, sours,
IPAs and barrel-aged beers. Orpheus Brewing team members pride themselves on working beyond

Summary of Position:
The primary goal of the On and Off-Premise Sales Representative is to develop a lasting relationship with
Orpheus Brewing’s target market by having a strong and positive presence in the market. For this
position, the market includes bars, restaurants, independent retail outlets, chain grocery, growler shops,
etc. Further, this position requires using consumer insights obtained in the market to develop innovative
marketing opportunities, to generate strategies that grow the market share and brand’s reputation, to
improve the consumer’s experience with the Orpheus brand and ultimately to drive sales growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
 Work closely with our distributing company, United Distributors, Inc., and build relationships with
their team
 Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts by calling on them regularly and quickly
responding to all queries and grievances
 Generate ideas to grow the market share by using data obtained from sales reports and experience in
the market
 Work both independently and with United Distributors to identify and cultivate new accounts
 Effectively communicate and propose new ideas with the team based on experience in the market
 Maintain detailed records
 Submit regular reports
 Actively manage multiple social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Untappd) to
increase brand awareness and to interact with the local community
 Take ownership of your role while keeping your manager informed of your decisions and accepting
input
 Be accountable for your actions
 Maintain personal calendar
 Be willing to assist the other members of the Orpheus team as needed
 The On/Off-Premise Sales Representative will primarily service and gain accounts in suburban
Atlanta, as well as other parts of Georgia
 As the face of the brewery, our sales team has the unique responsibility to always represent the
brewery in the best light by being professional and take care of our customers
Qualifications:












4-year college degree
6 months of sales, and/or chef/restaurant management experience
Prior experience in the craft beer industry preferred
Strong knowledge of Orpheus Brewing’s story and products
General knowledge of and comfort speaking about the brewing process
General knowledge of Orpheus Brewing’s craft beer competitors and their products
Strong communication skills
Computer competency and proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and
Powerpoint
Excellent time management skills and the ability to complete Orpheus Brewing’s administrative
requirements regularly and on time, including weekly reports, expense reports, monthly recaps,
monthly calendar, budget management and daily email correspondence
Reside or willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of territory
Valid driver's license with a “clean” driving record (including: no single DUI in the last 3 years and
no multiple DUIs within the last 7 years)
