ANSWER:
d. All of the above
Our MoHS success standards :
gathering and organizing information
solving complex problems
Defending your thinking
Are just a problem solving process that can
be applied to any complex problem one
encounters in life.
?????
Many of us use the success standards
every day. In fact, here’s an established
6 step problem solving process that
incorporates our success standards:
6 Step Problem Solving Process
1.
Recognize the problem
Gather information about the
problem.
a.
Think: What information do
I need to help me solve this problem?
b.
Go and get that information
2.
Brainstorm and list possible
solutions to the problem or actions you
can take
4. Evaluate the possible solutions:
What are the pros (good things) and
cons (bad things) of each one?
5. Select the best solutions/actions for
you to take and explain why you chose
that solution/action
6. Implement the solution(s)/actions(s)
you have chosen (put them into
action/do it).
Gather & Organize Information
3.
Solve Complex Problems
&
Defend Your Thinking
You may not know it, but you use these
success standards in your life!
For example, here are some complex
problems:
Which car should I buy?
Or
And how do I justify my decision to my mom/life
partner/financial advisor?
Should I marry
Or
Should I continue teaching for ___more
years?
Or should I retire?
