In this article, Cynthia Pelak focuses on feminist scholarships on genre and sports, the
language and gender inequalities. Pelak explains the study of defining felinities and
masculinities and “assigning value” women to men. Also women students are relatively greater
at schools that use nonsexist names rather those sexist names for their women’s teams. This
article shows the negative impact on females through the negative sexist remarks and studies
that male athletes get more advantages then women. Pelak brings in many. This source was
located through the Bell Library’s Academic Source Complete tab. I plan on using this article
and specific examples of the studies on feminist practices.

In this psychological study show that female participants in particular were relatively
disinclined to recognize expressions of modern sexism as prejudicial. Also those who insist that
women enjoy equal opportunities imply that a lack of career success can stem only from
women’s inferior abilities and effort compared to men’s. This journal shows the different forms of
sexism and is likely to affect detection, affect, and behavioral responses. The Bell Library’s

This article starts by reviewing the current literature on corporations run by government
and demonstrates the rights and duties discoursed within it. It continues by reviewing feminist
theories through ethics by demonstrating the differences of the theories of rights and justice that
are used to underpin corporate governance models. This article is a good visual when it comes
to feminism in corporations. The Bell Library’s academic source complete tab.

Based on the politics a woman has never been president or vice president of the United
States. Why is that? “Currently on 2 women serve in the U.S Senate and 23 serve in the House
of Representatives” this article brings out the stats of why women have been set back in
elections. Sexism has a huge effect in politics and how masculinity has more potential then
women. On both sides of the ballots voters and political parties have biased options about
women running for president and vice president. The Bell Library’s academic source complete

Through the look of sexism by religion, religious groups emphasize male consciousness
and underplay female consciousness, given the male dominance of both the culture and
structure of these groups. The evidence through religion such as Christianity has a long history
of sex bias through the biblical text. The article shows the evidence through biblical history why
women and men were represented differently through religion, which is very helpful why society
today is the way, it is. The Bell Library’s academic source complete tab.

This article focuses on Council of Social Work Education’s effort to go against race and
sexism within school and work. The CSWE demonstrates a strong organization that help’s form
the equal opportunity for minorities and females. CSWE is based off of the women’s liberation
movements and civil rights giving everyone their own rights without government interference.
This article is very helpful by pulling in historical landmarks and a group that has been forming
over the years helping support race and female judgment. The Bell Library academic source

Andersons article explores the outlook that influences the reproduction of sexist attitudes
among men in society. It first shows how segregation of men in a homosocial environment limits
the social contact with women and masculinity is dominant. However, the research also shows
when genders are interacted as in wrestling and cheerleading they positively reformulate their
attitudes towards women. These findings show that sports that have both male and female
interaction take away that male dominance and the socio-negativity. The Bell Library academic

The original purpose of tenure was to guarantee a professor’s freedom of expression
within the context of a teaching discipline. According to professors some women faculty are still
unlikely than men to earn tenure and become full professors. Women have been taking their
cases to court and have been winning; sending lawsuits to universities for tenure discrimination
have tripled in the last few years. Even some universities are paying females professors less
and give them fewer promotions than male professors. This article brings in tenures and
salaries mostly by universities of how women are not getting the same representation as males.

ABC news brief article on how women are winning the war of “educational qualifications”
such as bachelors and masters degrees. The specifics on how many women to men graduating

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1993-05-29/news/9305290186_1_sexism-genderdiscrimination
In this short article by Meyer she is saying there are two major issues when is comes
down to sexism in sports. The inequality of genders is based on the ideal by men that women
are not interested in sports and the second reason is t blame women for cuts on men’s sports.
The attitude between male and female is this article is failing to give each gender equality
without the negativity toward each other.

Brasfield, Morgan. “8 year old flags sexist children’s books; bookstore takes notice” NBC
News: Today Moms. Web.7 Oct.2013 from http://www.today.com/moms/8-year-old-flags-sexistchildrens-books-bookstore-takes-notice-8C11327618
In this news report by a mom who had gone to a bookstore with her child, noticed that
her daughter had found a book only for girls and only for boys. Her daughter not always
interested on “How to Survive a BFF Fight of How to Survive a Breakout” wanted to read about
camping, which was only listed in the boy’s only book. This shows that not all girls are supposed
to have specific roles in society a lot prefer things boys like just as much. These books were
offensive to boys and girls that its not always girls hurt by sexism.

Johnson, Alex. “Florida answers critics of sexist logo: ‘its just a cartoon’”. NBC
News:Buisness. Web. 8 Oct.2013 from http://www.nbcnews.com/business/florida-answerscritics-sexist-logo-its-just-cartoon-1B8255394
Johnson writes how a business recruitment logo was taken offensively by women due to
the yellow tie on the “I” of the logo representing men. Females calling the business sexist is
eating at the company “I don’t think a man’s necktie represents all that Florida’s business
community has to offer” representing the negativity towards business women. This argument of
the necktie is that it’s an icon not a statement to men, but why would women take it so hard?
The tie brings to the table of how women picture a business as suit and tie or masculine.

Sentinel.Web.8 Oct.2013 from http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/1988-1204/news/0080440229_1_minorities-in-medicine-physicians-sexism
Beasley talks about students that go to universities and have “strikes” on their backs as
in race or sex. Even though women and minorities are becoming doctors etc. the atmosphere is
sometimes hostile toward it. There are patients who prefer white males as doctors or other
higher occupations rather then women and minorities. Mostly in medical doctors and physicians
are trying to fight and persuade for the opportunities open to women and minorities,
