Application
Chapters of Delta Sigma Pi require that prospective members meet a few requirements
before becoming a brother. The requirements are as follows:
1) Be enrolled in one of the following majors: Accounting, Apparel Design and
Technology, Economics, Financial Counseling and Planning, Hospitality & Tourism
Management, Industrial Management, Management, Retail Management, Selling
and Sales Management, or Agricultural Economics
2.) A minimum cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75/4.00
3.) At least two semesters remaining after pledgeship
4.) A prospective member must not be a member of any other fraternity in direct
competition with Delta Sigma Pi. (The only one on the Purdue University West
Lafayette Campus is Alpha Kappa Psi)
If the above requirements are met, the brothers of Delta Sigma Pi invite you to apply for
brotherhood in our fraternity. To apply please complete the following steps:
1) Return a typed application(instructions on following page)
2) Attend the following two Meet the Chapters (optional), but highly recommended:
a. Sunday, September 1sh at 7pm at the Intramural Fields (more details to come)
b. Wednesday, September 4th at 6pm in Rawls 2077
A committee will review the applications and decide who will be granted an interview. If
selected for an interview, a notification will be sent no later than Sunday, September 8th at
midnight. Interviews will be held on Friday, September 13th. Prospective members for the
pledge class will be notified no later than Monday, September 16th at midnight as to whether
he/she has been granted an invitation to join the chapter’s pledge class this semester.
If an invitation has been granted, pledges must participate in a seven-week program, which
is designed to allow future members to understand and learn the various aspects of the
fraternity. Additional information about the pledging process can be found on our website,

All applications should include:
 Title Page
 Page(s) with answers to application questions
 Resume (GPA included)
 Page with time conflicts on Friday, September 13th
DO NOT put your name on any page except for the title page. Please put your student
ID number on EVERY page with your answers. Please staple all pages together. On the
page with time conflicts, please indicate when you have class or prior arrangements at any
time on Friday, September 13th.

All applications are to be turned into the folder on the door of Krannert B-16 by 5pm on
Friday, September 6th, 2012. Late applications will not be accepted.
