Responsible for setting up R&D workflow, brand continuity and new,
differentiated product programs for hospitality division and key accounts
with China and US offices.


Created OEM Division working with key accounts; Home Depot,
Lowes, Costco and Kohler and international

Liverpool and El Palacio in Mexico and John Lewis in London
developing products to fill in assortment gaps and exploit sales

Summit Trading Group, Ft. Worth, TX
2008 – 2011
Primary consultant of a mid- to high-end home building products
company, which supplies Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s and larger trade
customers. Launched new programs, product lines and added key
accounts utilizing past business relationships, sourcing, marketing, products
and merchandising from Westminster Ceramics.

Developed multi SKU product lines in Home Depot and Lowe’s, in
over 2,800 locations increasing sales to 12.5 million dollars annually.





Expanded lines to include three new product categories that
increased market share in their trade division generating an
additional 2.5 million dollars a year in sales.
Designed and engineered all displays, packaging and plan-agrams from home center launches as well as three special buy endcaps with merchandising.
Negotiated vendor buying agreements with all large chain
accounts.
Designed and sourced new products for home center, trade and
OEM customers.
Managed creative and marketing departments developing sales
materials, web integrations and marketing plans for existing and

2002 – 2008
Spearheaded all product development initiatives for this 115 million dollar
global manufacturer of mid- to high-end home building products with
over 2,500 SKU’s. Accountable for new product development, planning of
new channel expansion, brand strategy and positioning, market research
and pricing. Reported directly to the President.





Developed and negotiated global sourcing contracts for new and
current products utilizing suppliers in China, India, Mexico, Turkey,
Brazil, Italy, Spain and the U.S..
Designed and launched new stone, ceramic and glass lines
generating 25 million annually, making the company one of the top
suppliers of mid- to high-end hard goods.
Established all programs for private label customers including Ann
Sacks, Pratt and Larson, Waterworks, Costco, Sam’s and special buy
programs for Home Depot and Lowe’s. Developed several
international OEM programs for key accounts within Europe and
Canada.
Responsible for all new marketing and branding initiatives,
expanding into the channels of homebuilders, architects and
interior designers.
Transitioned operations from the Bakersfield facility to the new plant
located in the Dominican Republic. Responsibilities included
preparing the Bakersfield, CA facility for the move to the Dominican
Republic, product engineering, hiring of upper management,
development of new material handling systems, negotiations of
employment contracts and management of seventy-five
employees.

Grew company from 1.5 million to 52 million by re-branding into the mass
retail accounts. Incorporated cutting edge products to the trade and
home centers. Accountable for managing the P&L and all aspects of the
brand management process; including business and financial planning,
sourcing, product development, package design, positioning, pricing,
sales, marketing and cost management.






Managed and developed all sales and marketing materials as well
as launched a large web initiative.
Established and grew art and marketing department to a staff of
four full time graphic designers and two full time marketing
coordinators.
Responsible for installation of an in-house graphics department that
included four large format printers, in house wood shop and digital
photo studio. Department was engineered to take an idea from
concept to production with short lead times.
Worked directly with Home Depot, Lowe’s, Costco and Sam’s Club
to develop new marketing and merchandising strategies for flooring
isle facelifts.
Designed and sourced new products for home center, trade and
OEM customers.
Developed new product lines setting milestones from conception to
release. Refreshed the product assortment in 2000 with three new
mid- to high-end building material programs that doubled the
company’s sales in two years.
