Terms and Bookwork Instructions
Terms
Terms are assigned at the same time as the bookwork.
Complete ALL the terms in the chapter listed at the BEGINNING of each SECTION in the chapter.



Chapters vary in number of sections but generally range from three to five sections.
Be sure to title each chapter of terms in your notebook so you know what chapter you are looking at.
Each section of terms is worth 10 points regardless of the number of terms in the section.
Please keep terms in a separate spiral notebook as they will not be submitted but checked for completion.
**Honors students must keep these separate from any American History notes.
Define the terms as per the chapter. Additional information is welcome to be included which may help you on
assessments.
Both General and Honors students will be permitted to use terms on chapter tests, midterm and final.
Bookwork
Bookwork may be handwritten or typed, your choice. Set up/format is the same.
Bookwork is the questions and activities found in the Chapter Assessment at the end of each chapter.
Pleases put the following information in the upper right-hand corner of your paper….

Honors American History
Complete the above as directed but continue on with the remainder of chapter assessment activities.


Complete the Writing About History (WAH) portion and fully answer the directive asked. A general rule is
at least a 5-7 sentence paragraph if not two.
Complete the Document-based Assessment (DBA) multiple choice (you only need to write the letter of the
correct answer) AND the Writing Task. The Writing Task must be a 5-7 sentence paragraph response.
