Consultations

Consultation times can be booked in 30 minute blocks. Consultation request can be made by: sending a calendar ‘meeting request’, email, phone, or in person. These can be made in advance or on the day. All consultations will be booked in the eLearning Advis er’s calendar.

The eLearning Adviser’s calendar is open to all staff at the University. You are advised to check availability prior to sending through a request.

Consultations take place in the same building as the school is located. You may choose to have a face-to-face, phone, Skype, or Lync consultation.

Types of consultation questions/discussions may include:

 Which MyUni tool is the best to use for …?

 I would like to do …. Is this possible online?

What options do I have in MyUni for managing marking allocation with my tutors?

 How can I ‘flip’ my class for SGDE?

 How can I approach ‘blended learning’ in my course?

Going forward, what improvements could I make to my course in MyUni?

School/Faculty Project

The focus of School project time (approximately 2 hours per school per week) is determined by the School through the School’s Learning and Teaching Committee or nominated person.

This time may also be dedicated to a Faculty project which would benefit all Schools.

Types of projects may include:

investigations of new Learning technologies

eLearning evaluations

eLearning/blended learning workshops

course blended learning/eLearning strategies

best practice resource development

Each project must support the online learning targets as outlined in the Beacon and fit within the eLearning Adviser scope of work (e.g. ‘how-to’ MyUni is provided by ITS

Training and MyUni Assist, technical support is provided through MyUni Support).
