By signing this page you and your child agree to abide by the Lincoln rules at all times. • • • • All absences must be accompanied by a parent or doctor’s note. Any absence not accompanied by a note will be considered unexcused. Excused absences include absences with 5 days prior notice, personal illness, illness or death in immediate family, (see code of conduct p 7) Tardies accompanied by a doctor’s note are counted as excused. 3 tardies = one absence Morning CAR DROP OFF Morning Drop off times 7:20 – 7:50 a.m. Please move up to the next patrol or cone Gates lock at 7:50 a.m. Please go to the office after gates are locked. Breakfast lasts until 7:35a.m. After School Car Riders Pick up time 2:30 – 2:55 p.m. Please display sign with students name on your dashboard or visor. After 2:50 you will have to sign your child out from the office. Rainy Day pick up – the students will be in the 4th and 5th grade hallway and we will bring them out as you arrive. Winter Uniform Policy On uniform Monday’s girls may wear the long blue pants if the temperature is 50F or below. Below 50F students may wear any winter coat and flat-soled boots. Any times up to 50F students must wear Lincoln jackets, sweatshirts and hoodies. Parent Responsibilities You have 20 volunteer hours again this year. Stay in contact with your teacher to find out ways to earn these hours. Go over all the papers with your child inside the homework folder daily. Be sure to review your child’s behavior after school and discuss any discipline concerns. Sign the weekly report in the front of the Agenda after school Friday. • Connect Ed is a PCSB initiative to keep parents informed through phone calls and emails. • Please update contact information changes throughout the year using Connect ED. • PAPERLESS: All parent communication will be sent via Connect Ed Parent Portal All students daily grades, lunch account information, attendance, and state test scores will be located in the parent portal. Medallion. AR Goals Due to the need to practice non-fiction reading, we require that each child read 3 non-fiction books scoring 80% or higher each AR goal period. In addition, students need to have overall average of 85%, along with their points goal. Check your books for AR info www.arbookfind.com This website has a complete listing of all of the books that have AR tests SMAD A leveled program encouraging mastery of subtraction, multiplication, addition and division facts. Third grade includes 4 levels. Each level has 100 problems given in 9 minutes. Students need 100% accuracy to proceed to next level. Rewards given each week for children who pass a level. There are also awards at the end of year for completing levels. We test for SMAD every week . Third Grade Behavior Expectations Maintain the proper noise level at all times. Follow all directions the first time they are given. Speak positively and respectfully to all. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. Complete all work on time. • The purpose of this program is to provide uniform discipline procedures that focus on positive reinforcement to increase safety and student productivity. • Students have the opportunity to earn classroom rewards through our Warm and Fuzzy jars and individual praise through Celebration Notations. Behavior System Students will receive 2 friendly reminders of the classroom expectations which are written in student agendas as W1 and W2. After 2 warnings, the student will earn an infraction on their 3rd offense.
