Focus on Cancer Prevention
More than 20,000 North Carolinians are expected to die from cancer this year.
This session will feature two speakers providing insights into how we can lower
the toll of cancer in NC. Melanie Watkins, RN will describe the State’s new
cancer prevention and control plan. Dr. Stephanie Wheeler will describe
research on cancer in North Carolina. The session will be moderated by Dr.
Rachel Wilfert, who is Training and Technical Assistance manager at NCIPH.
