Nine CPAmerica International and Crowe Horwath International firms meet for German US
Accounting and Tax Summit
Wegner CPAs among nine internationally affiliated firms that met for German US
Accounting and Tax Summit
CHICAGO & ELGIN, ILLINOIS – Mueller and Co., LLP hosted four other US-based CPA firms
from Alabama, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, and four firms from Germany for German
US Accounting and Tax Summit. The five US firms’ affiliation is through CPAmerica International,
an association of independently owned and managed CPA and consulting firms in the US. The
four German firm’s affiliation is through Crowe Horwath International, of which CPAmerica is a
member.
“Our firm and all of the Crowe Horwath Deutschland firms are excited about the prospects for our
employees and clients as we finalize an employee exchange program, and even resources like
the German US desk which will provide clients with bilingual personnel to contact when inquiring
about US or German tax and accounting related questions and issues,” said Wolfgang

The five US based CPAmerica International firms were Wegner CPAs, JamisonMoneyFarmer
PC, Malin Bergquist & Company, LLP, Mueller and Co., LLP, and Rushton and Company. The
four Crowe Horwath International firms in Germany are Crowe Kleeberg, TPW Todt & Partner,
Intertax Treuhand, and RWT Horwath.

The Summit ended with a site visit to a German automotive manufacturing supplier and then a
lunch at Mueller’s private dining room in their worldwide headquarters with several local German
companies, and dignitaries from Elgin’s Chamber of Commerce, Mayor’s office, and its Economic
Development group.
The three-day Summit was the result of over 18 months of discussions of how to best address the
needs of the growing multinational, German-owned companies who are investing in subsidiaries
in the Eastern United States.
