The Nature Conservancy-New Hampshire Chapter, Concord, NH

Responsible for researching, writing and managing foundation and corporate grants and relationships. Write or assist with writing state and federal grants.

Raised an average of $500,000 per year over 6 years in foundation and government grants for land protection, conservation science projects, and operations support.

Research, prospected and established database of 41 new foundation and 96 corporate prospects. Solicited and received grants from 7 new foundations and 10 new corporate memberships.

Worked with conservation and science staff to write federal grants - Forest Legacy,

NAWCA, NH Fish and Game. LCHIP and Moose Plate grants for the protection of coastal areas, forests, wetlands, wildlife habitats.

 Managed and produced field guide for The Nature Conservancy’s preserves in New

Hampshire. Field guide was 200 pages and included preserve descriptions, natural features, photos and maps.

8/02 – 2/06 Grant Writer

Community Development Division, City of Nashua

Wrote proposals for funding from HUD, EPA, Plan NH, LCHIP and other grant programs for support of community development, economic development, urban revitalization, and environmental projects.

Awarded 9 grants for a total of $780,000 for environmental and community development projects.

4/02- 3/06 Grant and Technical Writer (self-employed)

Contracted to research or write grants for environmental, education, human service and capacity building projects.

Raised over $1,000,000 in government, foundation and corporate grants for clients such as FIRST in Manchester, Big Sister Association of Greater Boston, Chelmsford
