UFI’s strategic think-tank is composed of industry leaders posing the

headquarters staff, UFI develops professional research on the trade fair

UFI is developing the first global statistical data on the trade fairs and
exhibitions industry. This information will provide valuable information
related to the direct and indirect economic benefits of our industry to

UFI supports international programmes developing the professional
expertise of exhibition personnel.
UFI makes available brochures explaining the value of trade shows to potential exhibitors,
how to maximize exhibition participation and means for evaluating exhibition results;
UFI supports international symposia and training programmes in developing nations. The
UFI Cooperation Committee evaluates programme options and coordinates the voluntary
participation of UFI Members in a variety of educational programmes;
UFI is currently preparing a 6 hour curriculum which will be available on a no-fee basis to
academics for integration into their Introduction to Marketing and B2B University level
courses.

In an ongoing effort to promote the recognition and quality of the trade fairs and exhibitions industry,
UFI sponsors international competitions rewarding performance excellence.
The UFI Marketing Award is an annual competition open to all UFI members. Based on a
selected marketing theme, all UFI Members are invited to submit entries to this event. In the
past themes have included:
* «Best Visitor/Exhibitor Loyalty Programme"
* «Best Visitor Winning Programme"
* «Best Programme to Increase International Participation"
The 2004 the topic was “Best Press and Media Relations Programme» and the participation
rate was running high among UFI members for this internationally recognised award.
The 8th International Poster Competition has just been awarded two weeks ago. UFI awards
an international award to the best Exhibition poster submitted by a UFI Member. The
international jury is composed of graphic designers, exhibition organisers and advertising
representatives, ensuring that the selected winner is of the highest calibre.
