Course Description:
In Managerial Economics students will learn how economic theory and tools underlie the
managerial decision making process in the dynamic world of international business. Readings
and discussions will be used to reinforce students’ understanding of the nature and state of the
global marketplace in which today’s managers operate. Managerial decisions on investment
opportunities will be studied directly and as they relate to a firm’s strategy and financial
resources. The course will follow a natural progression, from the development of principles to
the application of those principles in increasingly complex circumstances. Computerized analysis
using an electronic spreadsheet will be an integral part of the course. Pre requisite: Eco201.
