Biographic: Erik Qualman, Boston, USA, one of the most recognized worldwide digital pioneers,

companies in Business Week, Fortune and Forbes NASDAQ 100.

Lecture Title: Neuromarketing and new ways of understanding and
measuring consumer behavior.
Lecture Summary: Today we are trying to understand the consumer
based on their subjective responses and how they verbalize a process
that is clearly not verbalized.
This is because over 95% of the purchasing decision´s processes of a
consumer are unconscious. If we know that the mental process induce the activity of choice
between one product and another, is made in less than 2 seconds and mostly by unconscious
processes, So, why we keep trying to get results based on verbal induced processes that lead to
erroneous results? .
Now using neuromarketing and eyetracking techniques we can understand the consumer’s mind to
offer him a better choice and not, as is believed, make a brainwashed. We will learn how to apply
these techniques to the world of marketing online and off-line, including web usability.
Biography: Born in Chile, has traveled the world from a young age as a commercial film director
and developed an enthusiasm for market research in Vienna, Austria, where he began research on
new methodologies with Eye Tracking technology, and later delved the biometric science in the
neuromarketing area to get a better understanding of the human brain, its role in the process of
decisions and the subconscious processes that we all want to know and understand.
