Fr Joe writes:
Christ Followers
We call ourselves Christians because we follow Jesus. Jesus spent his time among us offering hope and
love, alleviating suffering, and finally giving his life for the sake of our own. The actions of Jesus make it
clear what we ourselves should do, for his life is meant to be a paradigm of ours.
What would it mean in your particular circumstances to offer hope and love to others, to alleviate their
sufferings, to offer your live for the sake of others? Which people need to receive the caring that you alone
can give? Is there something that others need from you that you are not giving to them?
Let us pray: “Lord, may I not rest in a dreamy kind of discipleship that is full of good thoughts, but which
never accomplishes much for anybody. Through my receptivity to your inspiration, may I be of genuine
service to others. Amen.”
