• Home Trades Technology 12 (Open)

This course provides a wide range of experiences and learning
opportunities related to the building trades. As a result of this course,
students will develop some of the skills and knowledge necessary to
participate in the home construction industry. Major areas of study
include the Imperial Measurement System, construction systems,
electrical systems, plumbing systems, business practices, environmental
practices, safety, tools, and equipment. There is a math component in
each unit of study.
One Canadian Studies credit and One Global
Studies credit required for graduation

Two Alternates
• Students should make sure to select two
alternate courses when doing their online
selection
• Students are asked to choose alternates to
ensure they end up in suitable courses
should their be scheduling conflicts in their
initial selections
On Line Course Selection Tips:
• Grade 12 students must choose 6-8 courses and 2 alternates
• Know your selections before your lab day.
• Students planning on early graduation must fill out a yellow
form and still fill in 6 courses and 2 alternates. Your courses will
be adjusted later. You must also make sure to pick one grade
12 credit .
• 02 students will only find specific 02 courses under the O2
heading.
• Make sure to hit submit when you have finished making all of
your selections.
