Note: This template provides a basic framework for what can be included in a worship aid. The goal of
providing a worship aid to the congregation is to encourage communal prayer. The celebration of a marriage is
a community action, and we want to make it easy for all people to understand what will happen at the ceremony
and how they can participate. Providing extra details, like the spoken responses, helps visitors to truly engage
with others in prayer. For non-Catholics, it will provide a guide for what to expect so that they can focus on the
rite rather than worry about what to do next.
The worship aid for your wedding should be prepared at least one month in advance of your wedding date and
discussed with the Director of Liturgy and Music before it is printed.
