asylum.
Dracula slipped through the window, in his mist form, and Renfield became angry with
him for reasons like going after Mina. So, Renfield began attacking Dracula, but his madmad force was still no match for Dracula’s overpowering strength. Dracula threw
Renfield on the ground, and beat him up – causing him the multiple injuries. (pg. 392)
14. Describe the scene Van Helsing, Dr. Seward, Lord Godalming, and Quincey Morris
witness after breaking down the door to the Harkers' bedroom.
They see Jonathan Harker passed out on his bed. The see a tall, thin, black-clad man,
Dracula, with Mina’s face pressed to his chest, forcing her to drink his blood. When the
men enter, Dracula fled the scene, Mina screamed, and Jonathan awoke. (pg. 387-389)
15. Upon escaping, what does the Count do with the typed manuscript and phonograph diary
entries?

16. Recount Mina’s description of her encounter with Dracula.
According to Mina, she was almost asleep when the mist crept into her room, the mist
grew thicker, then suddenly turned into Dracula himself. The count told mina that if she
screamed, he would kill Jonathan, so Mina had no choice but to cooperate. He goes on, to
insult Mina, and her friends who are trying to kill Dracula, and is confident they will fail.
He also mentions how Mina is his now, she’s his bride that is. He drinks Mina’s blood,
then tears open his shirt, and scratched open a vein. He forces Mina to either drink his
blood, or suffocate, so she is left with no choice but to drink. (pg. 394-396)
