Conditional Admissions

Most classes include fifteen hours of field
work
For example, if student is enrolled in three
classes this semester, he/she may be
responsible for completing 45 hours of field
work
Field Work must be a priority in order for
success in the program
Field Experience Requirements
• Full-time substitute teachers or full-time
paraprofessionals must complete field
experience hours at a separate school, in
addition to and separate from scheduled
work hours
• Field experience hours cannot be “banked”
at the home school during work hours

Title XLVII K-20 Education Code
1012.315 Disqualification from employment.--A person is
ineligible for educator certification, and instructional personnel
and school administrators, as defined in s. 1012.01, are
ineligible for employment in any position that requires direct
contact with students in a district school system, charter school,
or private school that accepts scholarship students under s.
220.187 or s. 1002.39, if the person, instructional personnel, or
school administrator has been convicted of…

Disqualifying Offenses
• Pre-service teachers who have a
disqualifying offense are not
eligible to complete the program,
to student teach, or to receive a
professional teaching certificate.
