ASK a librarian – a virtual
reference chat system. A librarian
is always available to help you –
through live chat (or email when
closed). You may end up speaking
with a librarian from a different
University, but they have access to
our catalogue.
The Academic Data Centre
helps faculty, staff, and
students access, and use
statistical and geospatial
data.
The writing advisors can help with
constructing strong theses and
arguments, grammar and syntax
problems, analyzing and integrating
sources, citing and referencing,
interpreting assignment prompts.
They are not a proofreading service.
They will look at up to one complete
paragraph
The Reference Help Desk helps you
with your research needs and can
help you use the library, find
material, refine searches so that
you find more items on your topic –
and more! Don’t forget about your
subject specialist librarian! They are
there to help you!
There are several lounge
areas for relaxing or group
work. There will also be a
section for “relaxing
reading”
Open 8:00am to
2:00am during the
week and 10:00 to
Midnight on weekends.
Open 24 hours during
exam time.
The Media Centre
houses collections of
maps, microfiche,
microfilm, videos/dvds,
CDs, LPs, and cassettes.
There is a staff member
available from 9:00-5:00
for assistance
Computers are available
on each floor and tables
with outlets are available
for those who BYOT.
Printers and photocopiers
are available for
$0.06/page
There are
designated quiet
study floors and
carrels available.
Group study
