RESEARCH EXPERIENCE:
PhD Dissertation Research, Aug2008-Present
 Dissertation research will investigate the role international student’s play in the development of a
graduate engineering community, and the effects of this socialization on graduate student
attrition.
 Experience with both Qualitative and Quantitative Methods. Specialized in Mixed Methods
Research Techniques
 Authored large portion of NSF Proposal for dissertation research, Funded by National Science
division of Engineering Education Centers under EEC-0934643
 Other research interests include technical writing, developing undergraduate research programs,
assessment and curriculum development.
 Graduate Student member of Aerospace departments’ curriculum committee.
Aerospace Engineering Department, including Master’s thesis Research, May 2006-Present
 Research in the field of Aero Acoustics and Experimental Aerodynamics, specifically calibration
of a closed circuit anechoic wind tunnel.
 Projects include Acoustic Treatment of Stability Wind Tunnel circuit and testing for several
corporate sponsors.



Responsible for managing and mentoring teams of undergraduate student.
Continued employment as a Wind Tunnel Operator for student labs and corporate projects.

o Developed all course materials including homework assignments, exams, projects and

o Set up experiments and materials for graduate TA’s facilitating the junior laboratory course.
Reviewed course materials for accuracy and clarity
 Instructor for AOE 4054 (Fall 06)
o Facilitated three hour senior laboratory course every two weeks for 12 students.

Center for Enhancement of Engineering Diversity
 Instructor: Engineering Education Course for STEP summer bridge program for incoming
freshmen (Summer 08, 09, 10)
o One of three graduate students who taught the engineering portion of the summer bridge
program. Duties include reviewing materials for accuracy, delivering twice weekly lectures,
and supervising and assessing the end of course project.
 Peer Leader, First Year Mentoring Program
o Senior Peer Leader for first year mentoring program for engineering students. Duties include
reviewing weekly reports for accuracy, delivering weekly lectures, and supervising and
assessing the program.
