recent auction for Mablethorpe Camp Funds. The £800 raised will help
us to provide more than the £60 camp fee would allow.
300 Club: The draw for May takes place this Sunday, 15 June after
the 9.30 mass at Chellaston. Lucky winners announced next week.
Faith in Families: Once again it is time to open the Faith in Family
boxes. Please can you leave your box in the sacristy for me to pick up.
Some boxes have already been emptied and are awaiting to be
collected in the sacristy. Thank you very much for your help and

CAFOD The Hidden Emergency: A talk by Catherine Mahoney,

Parish Council Meeting: the date of the next PPC meeting has
changed from 16 June; it will now take place on Monday 14 July at
7.30pm at Alvaston.
we are offering a day of recollection at the Convent of the Holy Name,
Morley Road, Oakwood, DE21 4QZ, on Saturday 21 June. We will
start with coffee/tea at 10.00 am and end the day by 4.00 pm. The cost
will be a donation to the Sisters for their hospitality. Please bring a
packed lunch, coffee and tea is available. The theme of the day is a

candles and first Holy Communion cards etc. We now have Baptismal
certificates that need to be filled in by the parents and priest, and can
be framed as a memento of the occasion.

MARRYING IN 2014 – if you have booked a marriage date at
English Martyrs’ or are being prepared by Father Brentnall for a
marriage elsewhere – please contact Fr Brentnall as soon as
possible to arrange an appointment to finalize all relevant
paperwork. All marrying for the first time should obtain blue
certificates from the REGISTRAR so that the marriage may take
place in the church.
Spirit of Chellaston: Members of our Catholic Community are
