From the English Coordinator, 7-12
Directions
Please be reminded that all students within the school
district, grades 1-12, are required to read during the
summer. Directions for grades 7-12, Honors, RCC, and
AP, can be found on Page 3. Read this page carefully.
Though some students are avid readers and others are
not, we want, nonetheless, for all students to be firstclass readers. Should you, however, be amongst those
who do not take reading seriously, permit me to open
this conversation with you:
We know that you will be missing an
array of important information, ideas, and
experiences should you choose to invest little
time and effort in reading, We also know that
your lack of reading can diminish your
capacity to compete with others in the world as
you get older. With that said, be reminded that
reading can be pleasurable, thrilling, exciting
and, yes, fun.
Lastly, on behalf of your teachers, please keep
physically fit and stay mentally alert. We will see you
in the fall.
Dr. C. Chambless
