Grades K-6
It is the vision of our district to infuse
technology into our curriculum in such a way
that will maximize the student’s ability to
acquire, retrieve, construct, and present
information. It is our mission to prepare
learners for the future so that they may become
adaptable, purposeful, and self-directed
members of society.
Comprehensive Training:
Annually, all instructional personnel
will receive comprehensive training in
differentiated instruction. The
trainings will incorporate the Illinois
State Standards, National Staff
Development Council’s 12 standards
and the ISTE NETS-S/TSSA
Advanced Training Opportunities:
It is imperative to meet the
specific software needs of
experienced staff members.
Administrators/tech support teams
will be trained in all programs that
the district offers.
Provide a computer for every classroom
that is powerful enough for teachers to
utilize email, access the Internet and
run Microsoft Office programs.
Insure that every computer being used
throughout the District is sufficiently
powerful to run needed applications.
To meet this need, no machine older
than three years old should be used as
the primary computer to meet

The purpose of our assessment and evaluation
process is to verify that our district is meeting our
Tech Deployment and Professional Development
Goals. The information received from the
assessments will be used to help us make decisions
as to whether our Technology Plan is successful and
whether or not changes need to be made.
We will have a tech team of teachers and
administrators who will guide us through the
evaluation process. Having the updated
programs on strong, reliable computers will
provide consistency to the students.
The students will have access to the most current
programs which they will use within each of their core
subject areas. New hardware and professional
development opportunities within technology will
ensure that our students will be able to participate in
the most advanced online tutorials, explorations, and
assessments, allow our students to create meaningful
links to content as they prepare technology projects,
and will provide students with the most current
update information on the internet.
Another student benefit is that with advanced
hardware and software, students will be able
to participate in distance learning programs
which will ensure that our students are
receiving the best education while attending
schools within our district.
Overall, this plan will ensure
that each student and every
teacher is empowered with
technology skills that are
appropriate and aligned with
the curriculum requirements
and state standards.
