Induction: 21-25 September 2015
Please print this and bring it with you to your induction. It’s a good idea to:

Some documents may need to be returned to the University before you arrive.
New students: upload a photograph
If you have not already done so, please upload a photograph of yourself using the e@pplicant page
following the online instructions. This photo will appear on your University Card, which is issued to
you when you attend the University Card Collection session this week. Without this photo, your
University Card cannot be produced.
NB: this is not required if you already have a University Card because you were previously a
student on another course or at a Partner College. Your University Card will remain valid for the
duration of your studies at Plymouth University.
Online Enrolment
You must complete Online Enrolment as soon as possible and prior to collecting your University
Card.
International Student Advisory Service (ISAS)
ISAS are running essential sessions for International students daily from Monday 21st until Thursday
24th September 2015 between 4-5pm.
These sessions cover everything from immigration / compliance requirements to safety advice and
how to get English language and academic writing support.

There will be drop-in sessions to learn more about the Student
Rooms 106 - 107
Portal and to practice using it. Simply go to one of these rooms
and there will be a member of staff there who will help you to get
started.
You are also advised to check the Stage 1 notice board, Block A
on the 2nd floor of the Portland Square Building for group
allocations to Workshops, Tutor Groups, etc. Please make a
note of the weeks in which your groups start.
Don’t miss these key events led by the Students’ Union (UPSU). These events run all day so
you can drop in whenever you’re free:
Volunteer Fair – Tuesday 22nd September - campus marquees.
Make a difference in the local community and have a great time. Drop in to the Volunteer Fair and
learn more about the opportunities available From UPSU.
Sports and Societies Fair – Wednesday 23rd September - Roland Levinsky Building and campus
marquees.
An opportunity to find out about all the UPSU societies and sports clubs, and to sign up. Joining any one
of the 180+ societies or sports clubs UPSU have on offer is a great way to make the most of your
University experience and have an incredible time!
