Reading
Please read with your child on a daily basis. Please sign
this off in their reading record. There are rewards in
each class!
While you are reading with your child, these are the
skills you could be focusing on:

Decoding = reading words accurately

Comprehension = knowing what words mean

Inference = reading beyond the text for implied meaning

(e.g. ‘With tears dripping down her cheeks, Emma ran out of
the room…’)

So how was Emma feeling?
