Overall Objective: WEEI.com needs to offer a robust set of content for both (a) The Patriots season and
(b) 2nd half and playoffs of Red Sox Season. The marketplace is anxious to see, after the smoke of the
Bradford/Felger hype clears, if we can deliver truly unique content that will make us a must visit,
“bookmark worthy” site. In this hyper competitive space of online sports media, we need to offer
great, unique content across audio, text, and video; as well as offer “fresh, daily” content that makes a
true Boston sports fan believe that weei.com is a necessary part of their rotation. We need to take a
major step up between now and the big re-launch in January.

Weei.com editorial Staff (full time employee):
o Rob Bradford, Site Editor and Columnist/Blogger
o Carlson Mozdiez, Digital Radio Content Manager (and soon to be contributor)
o Alex Speier, Online Original Content Manager (we have a strong candidate that we are
close to bringing on board, his name is Alex Speier, and he is currently a Red Sox beat
writer, but generally brilliant guy, Harvard Magna Cum Laude, who will contribute his
own byline, and will also manage the generation of additional multi-media content. )

Contributors so far, this is a fluid list as we are talking to LOTS of people:
o Michael Felger-- Patriots and Red Sox columnist, with heavier emphasis on Patriots via
his well known Patriots Report Card column, however he will cover all sports generally
o Ron Borges-- (still in negotiation) Legendary football columnist formerly of The Boston
Globe, controversial figure who has butted heads with The Patriots, will add an “edge”
to our coverage and offset some of the perceived “homerism” of weei on radio
o Mike Patraglia—Mike has been in the market for 15 years and is always at Gillette,
Fenway, and The Garden at practices, press conferences, and games. Mike will be
pushing content daily to our site so that we are seen as a legitimate place for “real time”
updates breaking news and insight from the teams and venues. i.e. if Randy Moss pulls
a hammy at practice , Mike will push it the site, interviews from the locker rooms will be
pushed to the site, etc…
o Gary From Chapel Hill-- our DATA GEEK.. Bradford found this guy randomly through his
blog and Gary has become a regular contributor who has a good way of looking at sports
through a number cruncher’s perspective. A financial analyst by day, a metrics obsessed
sports fan by night! See a sample of his stuff on Bradford’s blog today under
nuggetpalooza: http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/sports/rob_bradford/
o Sean Casey-- current Red Sox player, will blog for weei.com, both text and video
o Will Leitch-- (still in negotiation) Founder of deadspin.com, will write a bi-weekly
column exclusive to the market . Will is a BIG digital star, this will be a big get for us and
o
o
o
will create huge marketplace PR buzz in the web community!

Nick “Fitzy” Stevens—(still in negotiations) YouTube video sensation who hosts the
Wicked Pissah sports report at Townienews.com. he will add a little humor and
potentially “viral” ness to our content mix.
