Installation and configuration – 1 day
Testing November - December
• Projects created
• All jobs imported and compiled
Test results
• A number of test jobs selected – 20 %
• 8.1 and 8.7 results compared successfully
Things changed
• DB2 z/OS. Bind error.
▫ Re-import table definitions
• DB2 Connector
▫ Changed execution mode to sequential
• Transformer null handling
▫ Unhandled nulls gives compilation error
▫ Correct null handling solves the problem
Production environment
• Installed in December 2012
• XlC 12 not supported, changed to XlC 11
• 60 Gb RAM compared to 30 Gb for 8.1
Performance tests January 2013
• Find optimal numer of concurrent jobs
• Tried 1-60 concurrent
• No more than 10.
Migrations
• 2013-02-18 First project successfully in
production
• Migrating one project per week
• 2013-04-15 Last project migrated
Conclusion
